Earthdawn Creature Mill

Make your players run

"Thousands of dark Creatures await you from all directions" The Earthdawn Creature Mill was developed to provide GM with lots of new possibilities to easiliy 'stand against' the fittest players. Fast and effective. Based on the rules given by Earthdawn Companion, the program will let you create monsters for the Earthdawn Roleplaying System within a few minutes.

Actually Earthdawn Creature Mill will calculate legend points from standard rules (Companion), but there is a field to alternate these points at your discretion (called balance LP).

If somebody has got a better method in calculating these points, feel free to submit. I'm going to check if I will add this to a later version.

So all you have to do is choose your stats and enter descriptions and ECM will do the rest (calc LP, outpuit Text or HTML).

How to use ECM

I have tested ECM on Win95, Win98 and NT 4.0 and experienced no problems running it. I don't know if it would perform any action on Win2000.

Fast method:

Simply set the attribute values and click on AbilityByAttrib. ECM calculates most of the remainder for you. But some entries are not calculated (eg. take a look at the movement). If you entered a Death Rating you might not want to set Unconc.Rating and Wound Treshold. Just Click on the button Get Unconc.Rating and both will be set automatically.

More control needed?

Just set the values for all the other stats (powers, spells, attacks, damages, armor...). Maybe you have to alternate the LP by entering a value into Balance LP - always GM discretion.

You may save your creature as standard Earthdawn Creature Mill File (*.ecm) or export it to plain text or even HTML. Note that both plain text and HTML files can not be read back into ECM. So if you want to retrieve your data later you have to save as *.ecm.

The rest of the program is very easy to use - so I'm not going to start bothering you with this-knob-does-this-and-that-button-doesn't...
